As Mother's Day approaches, we thought we'd share with you some curiosities related to this holiday. For example, do you know how it was born? Mother's Day in Italy, as it is understood today, has two origins: one commercial and one religious. The commercial one was born in the mid-1950s where, for the first time, the mayor of Bordighera, in Liguria, celebrated it in a theatre.
